This is a National Geographic Society Publication, so the reader knows that it's going to be a visual and sensual treat. This contains stunning photos of the wonders of the West along with amazing, informative, and very well-written text. My rating: 7/10, finished 2004.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-08-04 00:00:00 Benjamin Jason Conine Since visiting Yellowstone, I'm on a quest to learn as much as possible about the region. This latest book, published as a National Geographic Society Special publication, is stunningly beautiful. The writing is as crisp as the winter nights described. The photos that accompany the text are breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend this to anyone who will be traveling to Yellowstone.
