Review # 1 was written on 2016-06-08 00:00:00 Charles Madison Subtitle: "The Life of Vardis Fisher" "Fisher believed that most people would rather meet 'a tiger on the road' than face unpleasant truths about themselves." (I believe this was also true of himself.) Woodward tells this story in an open-minded, or even-handed way, leaving us to decide whether Fisher was wrongfully treated by the writer's & critics that held the power @ the time, or if the treatment received at their hands was merited. I think I agree with Woodward's assessment, that Fisher was a brilliant but neglected author.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-02-12 00:00:00 Scott Batcheller My father's favorite author from the Idaho area. Vardis Fisher was a very interesting character.
