Review # 1 was written on 2012-03-27 00:00:00 Iggy Ramos My first experience of West Coast USA writing on nature and sustainability. Bordering on the Utopian but then he did live in Village Homes, Davis, a community based on that view. Imperfect but influential.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-03-16 00:00:00 Lynn Garrison Loved the idea of the book and found it a quick and easy read. I enjoyed journeying to the extremes with Middleton and the encounters he found along the way. I feel like I gained insight into different ways of life that have had to make adjustments to survive in their ranging environments. Overall, nothing too extraordinary but I was happy to stumble upon it on a used book store shelf.
