Review # 1 was written on 2019-12-12 00:00:00 Derek Withey A walk through history from one person's perspective. The conclusive leaps was slightly disturbing, however, over all this is a valuable book for a broad perspective of chemistry history. My take-away from this book is how belief hinders progress, curiosity and exploration. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-02-03 00:00:00 David Miller This book is more of a technical book than a mystery to curl up by the fire with. However, it is a good read for those wishing to trace the evolution of man's understanding of the world in which we live over time. It takes us on a journey from the mixing of the earliest paints by cavemen, through the age of alchemy and into the age of modern chemistry. It is a worthwhile read for those interested in the history of chemistry as well as science in general. |
