Review # 1 was written on 2013-05-04 00:00:00 Pamela Verrelli Similar to Shel Silverstein's beloved books, I enjoyed Elizabeth Honey's quaint poems about child pastimes, including playing doctor, getting injured, and looking for lost items around the house. These poems are generally very simple and aesthetically pleasing on the page. I love how she writes out some lines in her own handwriting to add emotion to the story. This is a great book to have for the home library. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-01-21 00:00:00 Ruthanne Trefelner Elizabeth Honey has written a wonderful collection of everday kinds of poems for students in grades 3-6. She is a popular author in Australia. Some poems are short, some are long, some wind around the page and some look like a student dropped in to the book with their pen and added images and text! |
