Review # 1 was written on 2012-11-23 00:00:00 Mark Brown A very enlightening book covering many interesting aspects of social focus within architectural practice. What especially struck a chord in me was the profound piece by Doina Petrescu, "Losing control, keeping desire", highly relevant to anyone working with urban development. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-09-01 00:00:00 Justin Hennis This large coffee-table book is full of gorgeous photographs recording the garden design innovations from approximately 1976 to its publication in 1996. I highly recommend this book for people interested in the development of garden design as it covers garden designers from around the world and some of the unique features that they have included in their projects. While the book is fun to look at, it will be of less value to the home gardener as the projects featured are generally commercial or for large estates and require massive amounts of money and earth moving equipment. |
