Review # 1 was written on 2019-04-04 00:00:00 Courtney Lee First out of eight volumes covers Church history from first to fourth century (it ends with Constantine). It covers all aspects of Church history: relation with Roman Empire, christian polemics with pagans, heresis, shizms, development within Church itself. What I like about this book is that it also covers theological development of the Church, which is something that other books on this topic are missing. It might be little bit outdated but I still recommend it for everyone interested in early Church history.
