Review # 2 was written on 2013-08-26 00:00:00 David Ricciuti I believe, as some reviewers at Amazon say, that the book/CD is flawed, but only marginally. It is not designed to teach French but rather to assist in pronunciation skills. It does this quite well. The combinations of sounds derived from the French vowels can be overwhelming not to mention the never pronounced (H), the almost-never pronounced consonant endings and the nasal and aspirated letters. It is sort of clumsy in a medium such as a Zune, but used on a medium such as Windows Media Player it works fine. I find it very useful that the book includes riddles, tongue twisters, poetry and fragments of French literature. Could there be more? Yes but for around $16 it is a bargain to me. I wish that I had something similar for Russian language.
