Review # 1 was written on 2015-10-18 00:00:00 Don Parker 22 volumes of source material from American history with short readings and documents, maps and many illustrations in color and black and white. If you wish to study any period of American history thoroughly, this set is a great time saver. It will give you a wealth of material with which to begin and hints and directions as to how best to proceed. There is little or no formal scholarly machinery. The set can be a pleasure in its own right and a resource to amateurs and professionals. As reference books go, this deserves to be recognized as a classic. It easily rates 6-stars.
