Review # 1 was written on 2020-11-23 00:00:00 Gregory Towns This is not a book I am going to recommend that everyone read. But my book club is taking a retreat to Sun Valley (I know! How cool is my book club!?!) and I'm so glad I read this as an intro to this magical place. The author did a great job of telling the story of how this town came to be and what made it so special. It gave us a great list of things to see, places to eat, etc. I read the book in 2 sittings (about an hour each but a month apart). There were some parts I skimmed (about all the famous people -- that I'd never heard of) but the pictures were great and the story was packed with little interesting anecdotes. It was a perfect way to get me informed and excited about my trip.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-12-04 00:00:00 Ken Brown Just an amazing biography from start to finish. Learned so much about this enfant-terrible/precocious child/genius, but most importantly, realized how Hollywood, then and now, is not quite equipped to deal with such genius! A sad state of affairs, but he was, regardless how you view him, a man who did things his way, with incredible integrity. TOTALLY RESPECT!! Wish there were more like him, but he broke the mold!
