Review # 1 was written on 2020-04-02 00:00:00 Matthew Bishop Fascinating look at history through one man's life. I definitely learned a lot without a textbook format. I have great respect for these pioneer warriors who helped change the shape of our world forever!

Review # 2 was written on 2014-09-29 00:00:00 Prakash Sharma An enjoyable, fast and insightful look into Tuskegee Airman and fighter combat record holder (409 combat missions in 3 wars) written from the daughter and namesake (Charlene) of the subject. Though unlike many biographies that go deep into the individual and their life, selected stories and anecdotes serve to highlight specific events and times remembered and preserved by Charlene. Nonetheless, the glimpse into Mac’s life is more than one needs to gather his universal hero status, dignified character and humble existence. I am proud to meet him later this week and host him at an event for an organization I lead locally—the Order of Daedalians!
