Review # 1 was written on 2017-12-09 00:00:00 Theresa Souza An interesting survey of English literature. Coote writes in an easy to enjoy style without too much professor-speak. He made it interesting to take this journey through time. A good intro to the range of English literature. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-10-01 00:00:00 Sandra Burke A collection of delightful and instructive essays on Shakespeare and his fellow dramatists. Obviously, this volume predates the discovery of Middleton's authorship of The Revenger's Tragedy, a fact that slightly negates a few of the conclusions comparing plays by the "same author" in L.S. Salingar's essay "Tourneur and the Tragedy of Revenge". |
