Review # 2 was written on 2015-12-11 00:00:00 Jason Norman I believe this is an important book for those interested in feminist theology. I lover Gebara's take on Mary. Mary as an icon rescues women from their humiliation. As a Catholic, I appreciate critical discussions of Mary, especially contemporary applications. In an age where women still struggle with how they are blamed for their subordonation, Gebara's discussion on Mary provides an opportunity to reimagine our roles in society. |
