From outreach to equity is a great small little book. It has several chapters that highlight outreach practices of small libraries. These are not just Pollyanna stories, as they do highlight the highs and lows of the projects that are enacted. In some cases, programs are created that are legendary that begin to diminish with time. In these chapters, there is also information as to what the Library did after the outreach program was no longer successful. Each idea represented in it's chapter is unique and has unique attributes, successes and failures. I think this is a good book for anyone who works in Public Libraries who has an idea and wants to see what others have done. The Bibliography and resource list are worth the purchase of the book for any library. Give it a go, you won't be sorry.

This book marks a philosophical shift in library trends pertaining to outreach. It provides many, many examples that cover a well-rounded and various approach to service delivery. The examples are brief, but representative.
