Review # 1 was written on 2009-10-15 00:00:00 Matthew Dvorak A difficult book to read, heavy academia. I recommend familiarizing yourself with some basic Marxist economic concepts first; production, capital, wage labor, economic and social reproduction and so on. You have to grasp this book from the very beginning to follow it through (true with most books I guess). Nonetheless, Narotzky is brilliant and insightful, with a good grasp of the subject matter (economic anthropology) and this book will provide tons of valuable discourse for it's readers. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-10-15 00:00:00 Adam Fox A difficult but well written book. |
