Review # 2 was written on 2012-07-17 00:00:00 Bert Saxby I read this on a Costa Rica trip near the Monteverde cloud forest area. Very informative yet compact overview of ecology and biology work, including bell bird habitats, the disappearance of golden toads, the patterns of the resplendent quetzal, and my favorite--a chapter on the epiphyte plants that live on the trees and capture nutrients and water from the air.
