Review # 1 was written on 2008-08-08 00:00:00 JOHN RIGOR This is a very methodical and well-researched look at the educational system and the effects of poverty on educational achievement. I wish that misguided self-appointed education Tzars like Bill Gates and Andrew Cuomo would take the time to educate themselves about what really works by reading this book.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-10-08 00:00:00 Dina Richard Good points, but buried under self-important language. I enjoy a good academic theoretical discussion, but this guy makes Foucault look like Dr. Seuss.
