Review # 1 was written on 2014-10-04 00:00:00 William Madden This is very much a summary of battles presented as a detailed history. Also, the author attempts to include more sources than he is able to give balanced credit. He tries not to upset any reader by supporting one theory over another. He frequently begins his presentation of evidence with statements such as, "If it is to be believed." I understand the desire to present all sides of an issue or history, but in an effort to include all sources, this author barely gives the necessary details of any. There are better and more detailed books than this one. |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-07-07 00:00:00 Alan Deacon This is quite a comprehensive history about the valley of Armageddon. I didn't know there were so many major battles there. This was an interesting bit of history, and well-written. |
