I found this book to be well laid out and very readable. Ms. Dodds has provided a remarkable resource for anyone who is moving into the stage of life where you have an aging parent. Chapters cover topics from communication to sibling relationships and roles, as well as end of life preparations. The book also includes hefty appendices that contain checklists and references. I learned a lot from the book and expect to use it as a ready reference. Highly recommended as a resource for those wanting advice and direction on how best to support your aging parent.

General information that as a caretaker for both parents and now my father in law, did not bring anything new for me. Confession and speaking with my pastor were beneficial. Getting out of the house and meeting up with girlfriends, woodworking in the garage, and reminding other family members to take him out once a week was most helpful in getting us back to an amiable climate at home.
