Review # 1 was written on 2019-11-13 00:00:00 Miguel Valencia M Thoughtful analysis of the current issues facing education researchers Pring gives a thorough analysis of the current state of education research from the false dualism of quant v. qual to ethical issues stemming from the push for evidence-based schooling. It is a little heavy, if you are not familiar with philosophy texts, but it is more approachable than most in that genre.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-05-27 00:00:00 Barry Melnyk I like that Pring included constructivism, although he does not directly name it. He also identified issues critics have with educational research and how to navigate through them, which was useful; however, as educational research is more than ever moving towards practitioners doing it, I found this book less accessible for those readers.
