Review # 1 was written on 2019-04-20 00:00:00 Norman Nelsen Anyone interested in the early history of southeast Missouri would enjoy this book. I found that Francois Valle is an ancestor, and found this book to give more information about the man and the times he lived in. An early resident of Ste. Genevieve, the oldest town west of the Mississippi, Valle was clearly one of the most important and respected citizen. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-09-19 00:00:00 Courtney Lee This is a great book about the early Mississippi River Valley. I enjoyed it so much that if I ever obtain a time machine, I am going to set it for 1750 Ste. Genevieve, MO., because I have to see, experience, and taste what this book describes. |
