This beautifully illustrated and wonderfully written story provides insight into the story behind 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. As a child, my Mother read "Twas the Night Before Christmas to my sister and me every year. I love this poem and still read it every year at Christmastime. I cannot describe the joy and gratitude I felt in receiving The Visit.

It rhymes and is nice enough I found it interesting and it told about why the story was written. I enjoyed it but it is not one I can see myself reading over and over again to my grandkids.
