Through pictures, his life in as a lawyer, husband, father, and president is depicted with the use of actual photos. It follows his life from his days when he was an unknown giant to his days of creating history as the sixteenth president of the United States. Abraham Lincoln's highlights are genuinely captured throughout this book. I would use this book in my classroom as a way of introducing the Civil War to my middle school students. It is a great way to lead into exactly who Abraham Lincoln was and what issues he faced while in the Oval office.

Lo magnifico de este libro es la gama de fotos que muestran las diferentes etapas de la vida de Lincoln. La que me interesaba tanto fue de una cabaña que Lincoln y su padre construyeron. Fue mencionaba en el texto que - por causa de la Guerra Civil y especialmente por el gran número de personas muertas - no fue muy popular y por eso sólo ganó 40 por ciento del voto popular en su segundo período. Esta información es importante precisamente porque mucha genta opina que Lincoln era bastante querido. Al contrario, Lincoln era uno de los presidentes mejores en la mente de la población moderna.
