Review # 1 was written on 2008-03-12 00:00:00 Todd Burrow I liked this book well enough, even if it took me forever and a day to finish it, but I don't think it was a book for me, at least not at this point in my life, anyway. The author assumes that the reader has already published several books/stories/articles/etc., which is definitely not the case for me. So, it was sort of like trying to read, say, a college-level calculus or differential equations book, while still only being at a middle school algebra level. It isn't going to be very helpful at that level. Well, it wasn't nearly as bad as that. That book was written in a personal, personable style that was easy to follow, and I enjoyed the book as a sort of autobiography of the author, even if the tips and advice given were for higher level writers than what I currently am in my (ostensible) writing "career" at this point.
