Review # 2 was written on 2009-10-22 00:00:00 Bret Bolen We've just read two books from Sandra Markle's Predator and Prey series. These books are gorgeously illustrated with National Geographic quality nature photography. They are also unflinching and occasionally brutal. Baby zebras are cute (and baby polar bears are even cuter) but be warned that there are also photos of zebras being clawed by lions (and in the polar bear book, some amazing photos of bloody polar bears chewing through whales -- they kill and eat whales!). Really informative, well-written and great illustrations.
