Review # 1 was written on 2014-05-29 00:00:00 Mike Williams A wonderful anthology and a chance to read outside of Western literature. The poems of Hun Yu are incredibly moving and evocative. I can speak for the quality of the translations since I am not familiar with the original works, but the translated works seem exceptional. I had another anthology that I lent and never got back. I'll have to look up which version this was. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-05-23 00:00:00 Cathy Shuster An impressive collection. The poetry alone glows with a talent and an impression of nature as vibrant as any English Romantic poet. Some of the excerpts are hilarious - like "The Breaking of the Dragon King". |
