Review # 1 was written on 2014-02-04 00:00:00 Andrew Stewart Melissa Fraterrigo writes inventive, big-hearted, and wise stories that approach subjects we all struggle with--families, relationships--from truly unique perspectives. Oh sure, some of these stories are a little weird. And yet, they make sense! Because even when she's writing about an upholstered armchair that spews dazzling jewelry, it feels real, because Ms. Fraterrigo writes from a place of Truth. Great stuff. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-09-07 00:00:00 Dan Dinelt Thanks for reminding me about this book, Val! How could I forget? This was WEIRD--like, "I drink your milkshake" weird, but also really pretty and more imaginative than the last 20 books I've read combined. (And Melissa is a nice chick. Thanks for coming to our book club, if you're out there! And sorry I called your book weird, but you know it is! I liked it anyway. Or because of, maybe.) Cat, remind me next time you're going to be around--you might really like this. I'll loan you my autographed copy;) That's right. I know people. |
