Review # 1 was written on 2020-05-05 00:00:00 Martin Pustulka Doing Algebra helped me realize that Americans are backwards. LOl. We talk backwards. And we think backwards as well. Algebra helps the brain to preform in ways like nothing else I have ever experienced. Coburn's book is best used with the online help of Aleks. The online program is based upon this book, and together they work very well. I think that this book is well written, except there are a few concepts that are pretty easy - where the author of this book made them sound quite complicated. And that is where Aleks becomes very helpful. So if you get this book, log onto aleks.com and sign up for the college algebra online lessons which are based upon Coburn's book. |
Review # 2 was written on 2021-03-23 00:00:00 John Holloman This book assumes you know EVERYTHING that was taught in Pre-algebra ..100%. It skips a lot of steps that might otherwise be good review or reminders for those of us who didn't "ace" pre-algebra. This also has several errors, and typos that cause incorrect habits. |
