I bought this book specifically to read The Summer Sublet by Lawrence Klavan. I don't read plays often (well, at all really 😊) but this particular piece is very personal to me as it involves a close biological family member. As such, it gave me insight into a situation that I found very valuable and thought provoking. I did enjoy the play format of this work, and the way it requires reading between the lines a bit more than you do with a typical novel. I then went on to read other works by Mr. Klavan which I enjoyed.

I only read three of the plays (The Siren Song of Stephen Jay Gould, Train Story and Relative Strangers). Which were average plays, not anything special or worth rushing to the bookstore, library or theatre for but not terrible. The rest I started reading but I couldn't finish - not engaging at all. Overall this collection is a bit of a flop.
