Review # 1 was written on 2017-03-12 00:00:00 Peter Michaud I am not an expert on literary analysis and i would further confess that i might have not understood the work completely. But reading this work of exceptional beauty was the most exhilarating experience of my book-reading Life. I absolutely loved the comparisons drawn between the master works of contemporary writers and poems of Emily Dickinson. Although, i found the interviews rather disruptive. Although, i love art of fiction/poetry/criticism interviews, in the Paris Review". Enlarging loneliness, the most profound analytical work of this book, was an experience par excellence. What i have learnt is that "Insignificance" and "uneasiness" should be cherished more than a settled postion; that there are limits where early experiences do not play any role in finding a path; that a slant of light reveals and hides in equal measure; and that you can be homeless at home. I will definitely read this book again soon. |
