Review # 1 was written on 2018-07-12 00:00:00 James Tower God's Plan for You is a thoughtful, well-organized presentation of Catholic Church's teaching on what the subtitle says (Life, Love, Marriage & Sex) with a heavy emphasis on Pope St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body. The information is presented in a logical sequence, each chapter building on the one previous. The sometimes heady TOB teachings are distilled for readers while snippets of the original text can be found in the margins - which makes the book visually interesting as well. (I also appreciated seeing references to Pope Francis's teaching too.) Questions at the end of each chapter make the book appropriate for informal group or classroom use. The book read smoothly and felt like a TOB refresher for me. Well done!

Review # 2 was written on 2012-05-23 00:00:00 Urska Kosir i just came across this book for the first time in a while and re-read it. it is amazing. the voices of women mystics and their role in christian formation is enough; details of catheriene of siena's life adds more. the best thing gleaned from this book, i think, is the idea that women matter to the christian faith. anyone who has ever been oppressed BY her faith BECAUSE OF her gender knows what i mean. a good read no matter what denomination one happens to be.
