Review # 1 was written on 2018-08-11 00:00:00 Tahosa Callahan The author concentrates on the economic aspect of the Civil War, with barely any mention of military operations (which I'm more interested in). It's still an interesting study of Florida's role in the Confederate war effort. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-03-26 00:00:00 Joanne Horaski Florida provided many supplies ti the neighboring Confederate States during the American Civil War. While unable to provide much money or many men, agricultural products from the state vastly helped the Southern cause economically. The author discusses Florida's role siphoninging off ships in the Union blockade as well production of such products as cotton, corn, beef, and salt. |
