Review # 1 was written on 2008-04-24 00:00:00 Aaron Bubemyre A few interesting points (lessons)from the book. Humility is a basic element in our spiritual health. To be humble we must address honesty and authority. Who really is in control of our lives? Saying "no" to self only has muscle as we say "yes" to God. Humility sets us free from pretending that we don't have faults and sets us free to really enjoy life! Scripture calls attention to three visible marks of biblical humility: (1) a calm spirit - a genuine, humble heart; (2) a teachable attitude - receptivity to instruction and correction; and (3) a servant lifestyle - to "put in" more than we "take out" of situations. Be joyfull!!! The command to be joyful - to rejoice - is repeated over 50 times in scripture. 3 vital questions to ask each day: 1) What am I doing? - Do my actions make it easy for my Lord to bless me? 2) Why am I doing it? - Can I honestly say my actions are motivated by a desire to enrich my relationship with God? 3) Is it worthy of praise? - I have been called to a life of excellence, yet I willingly feed the pattern of mediocrity and dysfunction. How can I be more effective for God and his kingdom, if I long to hear the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

Review # 2 was written on 2016-06-06 00:00:00 Enrico Sala A good perspective book on spiritual intimacy. I think the intention is to cause people to think about their intimacy with God beyond the moral and traditional facets of Christianity. Definitely worth the read, especially if you have not read this kind of book lately (or ever).
