Review # 1 was written on 2012-05-07 00:00:00 Mosalyn Parker Poling does a nice job of helping white males understand how to relate to oppressed communities. If you are unfamiliar with the history of oppression in the United States, this would be a good book to expand your theological horizons. If you are not listening to the voice of women and African Americans, this would be a good book to help you get engaged. The word "resist" in the Circle of Hope mission statement is well-informed by this work. |
