Review # 1 was written on 2017-05-25 00:00:00 Jeremy Englund After a rough start (You can start reading somewhere in the middle of chapter 2 and won't miss out on much), this book got good. I thought it would be about the Rural Purge, Westerns, and then the ABC '90s sitcoms which took place in the Midwest, but Johnson subverted my expectations. While they did kind of acknowledge the Purge and ABC sitcoms, it was through a different lens.
