Review # 1 was written on 2012-09-21 00:00:00 Brad Taylor Gender and Judaism is a very interesting topic. Some of the articles in this work are well written. However, much of gender and Judaism comes from a perspective of "original sin". Judaism is connected with the original sin of patriarchy and maleness, thus redemption is difficult. This line of the thought, when applied solely to Judaism and not to the rest of Western culture, smacks of Judeophobia. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-08-29 00:00:00 Tom Proko Very erudite succinct, literate and modern. Very much worth a read. De Lange besides being a rabbi has also translated the works of Amos Oz. |
