Review # 1 was written on 2016-04-02 00:00:00 Eric Duff I read this while on the selection committee for a statewide reading program. I had never heard of Edmund G Love (a Michigan author) but this book had me hooked. I couldn't put it down. Reading it was like actually living in the pages during be Depression...seeing how families survived. After this, I went out in search of all the other titles by this author and I enjoyed each of them!
