Review # 1 was written on 2009-09-20 00:00:00 Andres Carciente As a teacher who works at a school featuring college-aged kids from across the country, I hear a lot about how these folks from other states think my home state, both currently and from where I grew up, outright sucks. As such, this fun little book offered a lot of information about New Jersey's past, showing that stuff actually happened here once upon a time. And Mappen doesn't sugarcoat anything, considering his last and longest chapter is a "Brief History of Corruption". Anyone interested in a light history of the Garden State can start here easily. |
