Review # 1 was written on 2011-09-22 00:00:00 Melvin Gray After her book Cross Creek is a great success, Rawlings is sued by one of her closest friends for invasion of privacy. Well written account of a friendship gone bad between two very intense women. It seems like this trial is part of what put Marjorie in an early grave. The book is painful and fascinating. Lots of local Gainesville area references, which I always love to read about. |
Review # 2 was written on 2020-08-17 00:00:00 Sheryl Mazzocchi A very good account of the trial that Vera Cason presented and upsetting Rawlings Life. As this is a Florida book, my review is, again, in my podcast here: Forgot to add the Bottom Line to the podcast again! Bottom line: I recommend this book. 8 out of ten points. |
