Review # 1 was written on 2007-08-04 00:00:00 Louise Currin Johan Paulik (link SFW) continues to be the star of the show, despite a scant 4-5 appearances in this volume. He has a rapport with the camera that is is unparalleled, often stealing the shot from his "intimate friends". The photos are playful, with an occasional shot that emotes something more meaningful. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-01-21 00:00:00 Gabriel Rieger About 1 hour to read and geared more towards the budding family photographer or someone just getting into photography. I like how Mr. Kelsh points out both common mistakes family photographers make and shows ways to improve your pictures (things like zooming in on your subject, how to place group shots, and a bit on lighting). I would recommend this book to anyone who's just getting into photography as quick but good read. Anyone who's take photography classes or done extensive reading on photograhpy may not get as much out of the book, but it is a good refresher. |
