Review # 1 was written on 2012-10-21 00:00:00 Amy Tucker Hello Kitty is trying to write her graduation speech with a breeze blows everything away and she can't remember what she wanted to say. She decides to go ask everyone that she knows what they think is important about graduation so that she can write her speech. The characters would be well liked by readers familiar to them and the story was cute, but the teacher in me doesn't like that Hello Kitty essentially plagiarizes her graduation speech. She just puts everything that everyone else said together and then gives her speech at the end, and I found it quite disappointing. I suppose that this book could work if there was a specific theme day or something else like that, but it wouldn't be the first book that I grab off the shelf. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-05-10 00:00:00 Don Meyers Short, but sweet story for Hello Kitty fans and/or cat-people in general (if they like cats, they'll probably think Hello Kitty is cute). Hello Kitty has to give a graduation speech and she's worried about it. This book is purfect for a PreK or Kindergarden graduation, to help a child become familiar with what graduation is all about. It would also make a cute high school graduation gift for nostalgia. |
