Henry Turnbuckle of the Milwaukee Police Department finds a corpse, throws out wild deductions which almost always lead to others-most often his suspects-to find the real killer, which is decidedly not his main suspect, by the end of which he will down his sherry and attract the consolation of violet-eyed ladies. As his partner Ralph says, "He deducts like crazy ninety-eight percent of the way and then always stumbles over the last two percent." Entertaining stories.
