Review # 1 was written on 2020-04-25 00:00:00 Laurence Bassett A narrative enquiry into ordinary people's perceptions of law and justice during the age of 'globalization' in northern Thailand. Very interesting read, although the book's conclusion is based on fieldwork data generated roughly 20 years ago and much has occurred ever since. It would be fascinating to learn more about changes (if any) in Thai people's legal consciousness and this book provides a useful springboard for the new enquiry attempt.
