Review # 1 was written on 2020-07-10 00:00:00 Victoria Beranek Along with Reforming American Education: From the Bottom to the Top and Creating New Schools: How Small Schools Are Changing American Education. These three books are compilations of essays from progressive thinkers in education on different issues of how our schools need to be transformed. They present interesting ideas. Though many are written in the academic style of the authors who mostly come from academia, others are written by those in the field. Includes essays by Deborah Meier, Larry Cuban, Nell Noddings, and Linda Darling-Hammond among others.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-03 00:00:00 Terri Watts Written sensibly and for the most part without a bunch of jargon. Backed up with statistics and examples. Published in 1997, with data that was VERY recent at the time; I'd like to see what the current statistics are for the schools she cites.
