Review # 1 was written on 2016-04-15 00:00:00 Kevin Oliver My Big Sister Takes Drugs is about a little boy named Paul and his family. After his family moves, Paul's big sister makes new friends that do drugs. She gets arrested while Paul is having a cookout with his new friend Jose. Jose doesn't want to be friends with Paul after that happens because it scares him. Paul's sister ends up going to rehab, or a "special drug hospital", to get better. Paul has to give up soccer camp to pay for his sisters rehab but his coach says they can practice extra together and he has a chance of making the A team. I think this book does a really good job talking about an issue that's hard to talk about. When people think about drugs, they mostly think of how it effects only the person doing them. My Big Sister Takes Drugs really shows how it can effect a whole family, even if only person is doing it. Judith Vigna did a great job making this a topic I would feel comfortable sharing with younger children, especially if they were going through something similar.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-09-27 00:00:00 Robert Harvey "She chose to take crack from her friends, and now she can't stop." This was the perfect red pill crack book. That Tina meets the wrong crowd of people and hangs out at the park. There are only one type of people who hang out at the park and red crack people are it. The words they use to describe her addiction are just over the top hilarious. I now need to own this for my collection! Junkies will always ruin the barbeque and roll around in the grass.
