This book is the result of an ethnographic research project of a Canadian high school with a large number of immigrant students from Hong Kong in the late 90s. It's designed as an anti-racist teacher education textbook, and includes pedagogical suggestions related to the issues raised in each of the chapters. It's a clear, incredibly quick read. Most interesting for me is the inclusion of the play Hong Kong, Canada, based on the same ethnographic data as the rest of the book, which is included in full in an appendix. Overall, the book and especially the play are useful tools for me to add to my academic repertoire.

Brief Insight Interesting read and insight on Capote's childhood. It is a great start to learning more about this very complex writer before he became the literary genius we know him as.
