Each book I read by and about Fred Rogers and his mission to educate and serve children only buttresses my belief that he is simply one of the greatest men to ever live.

Ever considered the subtext of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood? That dude was deep, fellas. It wasn't just all meow meow neighborly meow meow. This collection of scholarly essays explores such things as the theological basis for the show, or how the transitions in the show (changing the shoes, the trolley, etc.) provide the basis for children's understanding of change in their lives. If you want to geek out about Fred (and I certainly do), read this.
