Professor Lucio Ruotolo taught the final trimester of the Western Civilization course at Stanford in the Spring of 1974. He himself was an existential hero. The quintessential Modern. His lectures were inspired. His words have echoed and remained with me for more than 40 years. This book recreated those special moments.
