"I love to build a snowman / On freezing winter days. / But when the sun is bright and warm / My snowman melts away. / There's nothing but a puddle / When my snowman disappears. / If only he were magic / And could stay with me all year!" So begins this third picture-book devoted to the imaginary adventures of the eponymous snowmen. In this installment, the boy narrator imagines all the activities he could share with his snowman, all the year round, if snowmen didn't melt... Like its two predecessors, Snowmen at Night and Snowmen at Christmas , Snowmen All Year pairs an engaging and imaginative tale told in rhyme with bright, colorful artwork that grabs the reader/listener's attention. Also like its predecessors, there are hidden images in the artwork here, that young children will enjoy searching for. Recommended to children who enjoyed the first two Snowmen books, as well as to anyone searching for fun read-aloud picture-books in rhyme.

Snowmen All Year is a children's picture book written by Caralyn Buehner and illustrated by Mark Buehner and it is the third book in the Snowmen series. It is a delightful story about a boy's imagination about playing with his lovable snowman year-round. Caralyn Buehner's text is rather simplistic, straightforward, and lyrical. With simple rhymes the little boy dreams up situation that he and his snowman would do throughout the year. Mark Buehner's paintings delight in showing off the joyfully absurd situations and rapport between the boy and his friend, never more so than when the snowman does a nosedive into a backyard pool. The premise of the book is rather straightforward. The narrative tells a story about a gap-toothed boy's gleefully silly fantasies about playing with his lovable snowman year-round. On a stormy evening, the boy and his snowman play chess and on Halloween, they go trick-or-treating and the like for each festive day of the year. All in all, Snowmen All Year is a wonderful and imaginative story about a boy and how he would spend time with his snowman year round.
