Review # 1 was written on 2011-05-02 00:00:00 Michael Anthony Far more about the public image of Bernard than the saint himself (not saying that as a bad thing, of course!) But more than about a guy, it's a study about how said guy has been appropriated by/through history.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-28 00:00:00 James Lawson did some background research for a biography of an ancestor. fascinating and well written book!
